Helen Ginger, creator of Doing it Write!, a free e-newsletter that covers everything about writing, will feature Joe O’Connell as the Author of the Month in May. Next Thursday, May 9, Joe will stop by Doing it Write! and Straight from Hel, Helen Ginger’s blog, for a Q&A session. Fans will be able to post questions and comments on the blog and will even have a chance to win a copy of Joe’s novel-in-stories Evacuation Plan.

The Blanton Museum of Art will feature W. Joe Hoppe’s poems as part of The Blanton Poetry Project. The museum will include his poems “Josephina Guilisast’s ‘La Vigilia’” and “Max Weber’s ‘New York at Night’” in its display of poetry in the gallery. The poems and Hoppe’s brief biography will be featured next to the Guilisasti and Weber paintings in the museum, and will be available for viewing for the next several months.
