Joe will be reading from, and signing copies of his new book, Galvanized, at 12th Street Books, 7pm, Friday, October 27th.

Galvanized is a clear-eyed and accessible dig into the inescapable beauty found in old cars, new babies, high and lowbrow art, tools of industry, down and outers, and, of course, The American Road.

W. Joe Hoppe teaches English and Creative Writing at Austin Community College, writes, studies and practices Buddhism, and works on old Mopars.

Joe’s special guest will be Ric Williams of the Austin Chronicle’s Litera column, reading some of his most recent, always enjoyable, and ever thought-provoking work.
