Stikmanz Takes The Hidden Lands of Nod to Fantasy Cons in October

September 30, 2008

Robert Stikmanz continues steady promotion of his five-book ontological fiction series, The Hidden Lands of Nod, as he makes his way to two upcoming fantasy/sci-fi cons in October. With the recent release of Entranscing, the second novel in his series, attendance at Austin’s own ArmadilloCon and Bubonicon in Albuquerque, and an event centered around Nod’s Way as part of Dragon Lair’s 22nd anniversary celebration, Stikmanz has garnered attention locally and continues to gain momentum.

You can find Robert Stikmanz in Dallas, the weekend of October 3-5 at FenCon V. This year is a special one, as FenCon is celebrating its 50th anniversary of literary science fiction and fantasy conventions in Texas. Upcoming Dalton authors, Christine and Ethan Rose, will also attend this con to promote Rowan of the Wood, their premiere Young Adult crossover, fantasy novel.

And, later in the month, October 24-26, Stikmanz will attend Mile Hi Con 40 in Denver, Colorado. This is the largest science fiction literary convention in the Rocky Mountain Region. On the schedule are over 80 authors and speakers who will conduct panels and programs concerning all things science fiction and fantasy.

Imaginative and poignant, Rowan of the Wood breathes new life into the mythic “orphaned hero” archetype, and was recently named a Finalist for the 2008 National Best Books Award. (More...)
