Kimberlie Dykeman Continues to Inspire!
March 29, 2010
Dalton author, Kimberlie Dykeman, is always motivating someone! Following the success of her book Pure Soapbox, she has recently launched the nationwide SOAPBOX® In-home Inspiration Party, “a modern-day get-together that taps the wisdom found in powerful quotes to prompt candid interaction and heart-felt story-telling”. Dykeman inspires her guests to inspire themselves and each other and to get more out of life. Become a host and empower your friends, groups, and clients!
“…this ain’t your grandmother’s Tupperware gathering, prim-n-proper fundraiser, or networking (whining!) event! Instead, this is home-brewed motivation…with a swift kick in the pants!”
Dykeman is also currently working on a Fundraiser for LIVESTRONG wherein she is raising $5,000 this year to help the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
With the success of her SOAPBOX® motivational vignettes, Dykeman was invited to speak at several events in April 2010:
- She will deliver the kick-off keynote speech at the CoreTrac 2010 Users Conference in Austin.
- On 22 April 2010, she will be the featured guest author at the 3rd Annual Taylor Library Board Gala where she will help toast the festive occasion to drive home this year’s “Travel the World with Books” theme for the black tie affair.
- Additionally, she will offer one of her famous vignettes as a toast filled with words of wisdom, reassurance and encouragement to the latest students graduating from the Austin Mentorship Program at St. Edwards University.

Personality Lends to Successful Career: Dykeman Showcased in “Women of Personality” e-book
April 23, 2009
by Neil Kahn
How much does one’s personality really influence the ultimate success of her career or business? Just ask Kimberlie Dykeman, the SOAPBOX® Queen and author of Pure Soapbox…a cleansing jolt of perspective, motivation, and humor. Recently, Dykeman was selected to participate in the The Personality Project and in turn showcased in Rohit Bhargava’s e-book “Women of Personality,” featuring the success stories of twenty female entrepreneurs who intuitively use their personalities to better their business ventures.
In May 2008, renowned blogger and SVP at Ogilvy PR 360 Digital Influence Rohit Bhargava released his latest book Personality Not Included, which was well-received by business professionals and marketers world wide. However, following a flood of emails and input from female business owners telling Bhargava how they are already putting their personalities to work in their businesses, the author chose to a launch a companion e-book, entitled “Women of Personality.” As part of The Personality Project, Bhargava selected twenty inspiring women to tell their stories of success and answer one simple question: How has personality helped you achieve success with your career or business? Our own Kimberlie Dykeman is one of the featured twenty, and it’s no surprise as she has dedicated her life to being a motivator, educator, and entertainer, building her SOAPBOX® multi-dimensional brand from the ground up.
“I must humbly say that my personality is the best thing I have going for me,” Dykeman said. “A business can begin, grow, and survive without things like a full-fledged business strategy, a jillion connections, investors, or employees, but you can’t just acquire a personality from your local 7-11 store or Walmart, folks. Personality fronts a strong mission, supports a team, engages loyal customers, and cultivates a promising future. And, that said, a great one is priceless!”
According the Bhargava, the entrepreneurs featured in his e-book are some of the most interesting, visionary, and approachable women in business today. He based his selections on the fact that each contributor has not only built a successful career for herself, but has also made significant efforts to help other women find success too.
Dykeman first met Bhargava at the SXSW Interactive conference in March 2008, and they have stayed connected on the Web. Read about The Personality Project and download a free copy of the “Women of Personality” e-book here.
