Join us for a celebration of the release of our latest poetry title, The Road Home, by Austin Community College Arts and Humanities Dean, Lyman Grant.
This collection of startlingly brave poems witness for us the terrible ghosts of the shattered (& shattering) center of who we are & were & where we long to be: if not at home, then at a station that offers brief solace even as we push further into a light that haunts & promises & stories us with deeds shameful, proud, profane & profound.
The book release celebration will be held at the ARTillery Gallery, 701 Tillery Street (one block north of 7th Street, between Pleasant Valley and Springdale) on Wednesday, November 15th. The gallery is behind the main building. The celebration begins at 7:00. Lyman will read a few poems from the book at 7:30 and at 8:15.
The gallery is currently showing paintings by ACC Art Instructor, Shawn Camp, whose work provides the cover to The Road Home.
