The first new ancient oracle of the twenty-first century.
Nod’s Way, the oracle of the Dvarsh, does not fit handily into familiar categories. It can be read as an authority or guide, like the Tao Te Ching, or it can be consulted as a fortunetelling tool, like the I Ching. Fleshing out the fictional world of the Dvarsh, a non-human people who have developed in tandem with homo sapiens, this central artifact of their culture represents the ancient wisdom and distilled values of the Dvarsh way of life.
This fully interactive work comes as a boxed set including a wisdom book, a journal, and three custom dice that allow readers to divine deeper meaning from the book than what is solely printed on the pages.
Robert Stikmanz is the creative identity of Austin, Texas, author and artist Rob Lewis. He is the author of Prelude to a Change of Mind and Nod’s Way, along with imaginary co-author, self-proclaimed poet, and Dvarsh translation expert, Jackanapes Plenty. They are currently locked away in Stikmanz World Headquarters working on Entranscing, the second novel in The Hidden Lands of Nod series.
Jackanapes Plenty, a tri-species hybrid raised by Dvarsh, holds the title World Champion Poet among that people, and is a card-carrying member in good standing of the Dvarsh Guild of Intuits. Recognized as a leading authority on Nod’s Way, Plenty has translated the work into English of a sort and East Texican. As a poet he is celebrated for his early collections, although the Dvarsh public has yet to react to his recent 4800 line “Ballad of Flo and Ernie.” An actor in novels, Jackanapes Plenty features as himself in all five books of The Hidden Lands of Nod by Robert Stikmanz.
